Senior Software Engineer & Technical Lead
I’m a senior software engineer and technical lead with two decades of
experience across backend, frontend, and infrastructure — acting as my own DB
admin and DevOps for most of that time. My primary stack is Django and
Python, and I’m currently focused on data acquisition, transformation, and
presentation.

- Backend — Django and Python (primary); Go, PHP, Node.js
- Frontend — JavaScript and TypeScript
- Databases — PostgreSQL and PostGIS, MySQL, MongoDB
- Infrastructure — Docker; Linux on the desktop for well over a decade; own DB admin and DevOps

- A fair share of startups — some failed, some sold
Currently
- Working on data acquisition, transformation, and presentation
- Board member and technical advisor to a Croatian data protection NGO
- Available for hire, preferably remotely; open to relocation with support
Away from the keyboard
- Microcontrollers and home automation — built and maintain smart home setups across a few households, bringing a UX background to anticipate real-world friction (habits, wiring, family patience) before it becomes a blocker
- 3D printing and general-purpose design
- Film photography — an escape from the all-digitalisation of work life
